Der Band enthält die Übersetzungen, Transkriptionen und philologischen Kommentare zu den Texten der Innenseite der Umfassungsmauer des Tempels von Edfu.
Diese Texte gehören zu den interessantesten des Tempels. Zu nennen wären u. a. der Komplex des Horusmythus, die Schöpfungsmythen, die Beschreibung des Urtempels von Edfu und die Auswahl und Inthronisation des lebenden Falken von Edfu. The volume offers translations, transcriptions and philological commentaries of the texts written on the inner face of the enclosure wall of the temple of Edfu. The texts are among the most interesting of the temple texts. They treat, for example, the complex of the myth of Horus, the creation myths, the description of the original temple of Edfu, or the selection and enthronement of the living falcon of Edfu. In addition, the volume contains four short appendices with special studies and supplements to the translations as well as 29 pages of additions and corrections with regard to the hieroglyphic text edited by É. Chassinat, Le temple d’Edfou VI.
